Just Jenneh – The THC Campaign

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what an average day looks like.

I’m Jenny, a DJ and graphic designer from Toronto, Canada. My day usually starts with me writing down my goals for the day. I don’t have a typical 9-5 schedule, so on some days I’m focused on organizing crates or digging for music, some days I’ll only illustrate/design, and some days it’s a mixture of both.

Did you receive any formal training or did you teach yourself?

I didn’t receive any formal training, but I do have a lot of friends that are amazing DJs and they’re always giving me advice on how to improve. The same goes for graphic design. I’ve learned almost everything from counting music to creating chrome logos with the help of friends and YouTube University (lol). There’s a lot of great videos and talented people you can learn from on the internet, you just have to do a little research.

What was your first experience like trying cannabis?

I think I was like 15/16 when I first tried cannabis. I can’t remember the exact events of my “first time”, but I do remember my first edible experience. Long story short, I greened out.

How has Toronto influenced your creativity?

Toronto is so diverse, and there’s so much talent here. From the food, to the music, art, culture, it’s hard to just say one thing. I guess to me, Toronto is a beautiful collision of ideas.

Has cannabis helped you lock in and create more vividly?

Definitely, especially whenever I hit a creative block. I’ll just roll up a lil’ and then jump back into it.

What are your plans for when the pandemic is over?

I’m booking the first flight out of here! I can’t wait to travel again, and I definitely want to be able to spin in another city at some point!

If you could impart one piece of advice on your younger self, what would it be?

I would tell my younger self to learn about stocks earlier lol!
