What Is Shatter?

It is a type of cannabis concentrate made by extracting cannabinoids and terpenes from the marijuana plant using solvents. It gets its name from its glass-like texture and is known for its translucent appearance, with colors ranging from light amber, similar to honey, to darker yellow shades like corn oil.

While shatter may look consistent at a glance, its texture can vary. Some shatter is extremely brittle and breaks easily, while others have a taffy-like consistency that stretches and snaps.

How to Use Shatter

It is consumed by heating a small amount on a hot surface and inhaling the vapor—a method commonly referred to as “dabbing.” Some users also incorporate shatter into edibles or use vape pens designed for wax or oil concentrates.
