Wedding Cake Reviewed by Chronic Kid

These lovely, large, and chunky nugs of Wedding Cake arrived sporting a dense, compact structure. A very greasy, sticky, tacky feel to them. Left my fingers clinging to each other upon breaking them up. The consistency after grinding is akin to kinetic sand. Her colours are a mix of pale and forest greens with hints of dark purples and copious amounts of bright orange pistils. Nice and frosty as well with a good trim and cure to match.

Certainly one of the more complex Wedding Cakes I’ve had over the years. It’s a strain that can sometimes be subtle and underwhelming. This one is the opposite. A very dessert leaning profile that is creamy, sour, and doughy with hints of vanilla spice and a touch of gas. The flavours are pretty much identical, maybe a touch gassier with an earthy backing. Found the smoke to be thick yet relatively smooth, burning with a nice resin ring and ash that is a little on the darker/pepper dominant side.

The high is delightfully uplifting and euphoric with the perfect amount of relaxation and a soaring head high to go along with it. Extremely laid back in demeanor as well, effectively helping out with stress and anxiety. Really fits in as a late afternoon/early evening smoke as it’s quite balanced for the most part but overdoing it can easily bring out it’s heavier, sedating qualities.
